  2. Sometimes running "slower" is the only way to enjoy running and to prevent certain injuries. Have you looked into getting your form checked? Even if you just video tapped yourself running from a few angles and analyzed it or get it analyzed. There are even some places that you can submit a video and they will give you some feedback. 12 minute miles is nothing to be ashamed of either! Some day you will notice that you went faster and not even realize it. Congrats!
