I Passed the CA Bar! Time to Get Back to Training. :D

So, it's official: I finally passed the CA bar.  I found out last week.

Now that I know my training will not be interrupted, I'm going to get back into striving toward my running goals.

I spoke to one of my friends the other day.  He said that he HATES running the first two miles of any run.  Yet, what's awesome is that he still runs from his work back to his house every day because, after those two miles pass, he loves it.

That's what I need.

I'm still reading Born to Run, by the way, which is great.  I recommend it for runners and non-runners alike.  The author has a fabulous writing style!  I love it.

Hope y'all have a good one!  I'll post a video after my first come-back run.  (Right now, I'm out of state visiting family, so as soon as I get back, I'll be training again.)

P.S.  If, by chance, there are any runners out there struggling with the CA bar, here's the post I put up on my law blog about that.

  2. Hi Jessie,

    Congratulations too!

I haven't read 'born to run' need to add it to my list! I wondered if you have read the James Fixx books.

They are a bit dated now but that was some of the appeal for me, plus I found his writing style great.

The fact that they are from the 70's, it was great to read those a reflect on how much we have moved on. One big thing that hits you when reading his books are how much sexism there was around sport back then, maybe even more than the opposing Counsel's :)

    Best
    Steve
